Mend Peugeot 307 xsi Warning

Peugeot 307 xsi 52 plate EPS warning light?

Bought Peugeot 307 xsi 52 plate less than 2 weeks ago, driving home from work tonight on comes the eps light! I've read up on lots of forums and can't really work out exactly the problem? Would it be fair to say it needs plugging in to diagnose? Please help me!?
