Terrible rattling noise?

There is a rattling noise as though something has come out of a pocket and got eaten by the machine. How can I check?

put your head inside the drum with a torch shining through holes in drum and see if you can see what is in there.If something is between the drums then you might have to remove the element or bottom hose to get access to remove it
