water hot on cold setting and hot setting?

hi hopefully someone can help me on this, i have just bought a new shower,(creda aquablue) and had it installed, my problem is that even on the cold setting the heater light comes on and the water gets piping hot then on switching to hot there is no difference in temperature ,anyone have any ideas as to what this problem might be ? any help appreciated.

i would suggest that when the case was fitted the knob to change temparture settings was set at hot and the installer had the knob turned to cold on the front so when it was fitted this may be the problem
