Mend Toyota 2200 Series EC1 Tangled Top Thread

Toyota Model 2200 Series EC1 - Tangled top thread?

the top thread gets tangled on the underside of the material and in the shuttle area. i have checked that the upper tensioner is working ok.
whin i look at the shuttle area whilst turning tha m/c by hand i see that the upper thread seems to get caught up in the shuttle

Hello Pat,
Make sure you are threading the machine with the presser foot up and the thread going completely between the tension discs, if you are still having problems you may need to retime the machine, I can attach instructions if you type my email address as you say it not as you see it.
