Mend Peugeot 306 Diesel Fuel

peugeot 306 diesel 1.9?

air in deisel fuel system or dirt.due to someone syphoning tank.cant find bleed screw.car will start sometimes then when switched off wont start again.once its started it will run all day.till u switch off.then two or three flat batteries later it might start.im a blue badge holder i need my car.greenflag a waste of time.cant fix anything just offer to take to garage

Peugeot Peugeot 306 Vehicles, Cars Diesel Fuel Peugeot

Sorry, not an answer as such, but I've got a 1.9 Boxer van with virtually the same problem. Starts from cold every time, then runs fine until switched off and left more than 15 minsl, it won't start till at least 2 hours have passed. Am thinking it might be fuel cut-off solenoid sticking, but we keen to see anyone's definite answers.
