Mend Craftsman LT1000 Mower Work Cable

How can I fix my LT1000 craftsman riding mower?

I can't get the mowing lever (turns mower on) to work. Its like the cable is frozen. How do I fix this problem myself?

I wish you would have given us a bit more info. I would suggest that if the cable is what is 'frozen', then purchasing a new cable and replacing it is your answer. I hate to sound over simplistic, but that is the only answer one can give with the info you gave.
