Mend Boiler Hot Tap

combi boiler?

This query concerns the hot water to the shower and kitchen mixer tap. I turn on the hot tap and the boiler does its job and supplies hot water, however as soon as I try to turn on the cold tap to adjust the temperature the boiler shuts down, I close the cold tap and the boiler starts up again, any ideas ???

Low cold mains water pressure, check the stop tap is properly open.
Dependant on the boiler, could be a weak diaphragm on the diveter valve, not enough information given to ascertain.
