Does the Indesit tumble dryer have a bearing on back of machine?

Hi,

My Indesit IS60V has been making a loud banging noise and also metal scraping sound.

I have taken semi circle plastic cover off back. Noticed loads of black soot like powder and a metal ball or bearing incased in metal disk (a little bigger than 5p). On other side to ball is a protruding cylinder shaped piece of metal (all part of the disc).

This part, was loose inside the plastic casing.

On looking at the machine, it seems the middle of drum should be held at this point. It looks like it has dropped down and maybe ground down the metal.

My questions: can I get this fixed, is it worth getting fixed ?
