Thank you so much for this, turned out to be my door switch too, no need to buy a new one, very easy to rig / fix yourself, unplug the dryer, remove the lid (2 screws at the back top) slide the lid off, once you have the lid off you can test it by plugging the dryer back in and pressing the start button, you should here the buzz coming from the switch, now unplug again, the switch is in the middle at the front against the control panel, press a small flat head screw driver on the top clip to remove it, pop the switch out, and remove the 3 wires, dont forget which order they go back, so take a photo or something before removing them, I then looked at the door pin, looked at the switch to figure out how it worked, I opened up the switch itself, there is about 5 little clips around the outside of the switch that you can gently pop open to open the switch, be very careful doing this as it has the potential for little bits to fly everywhere, cleaned the fluff out, then with a hot glue gun, I glued the white plastic part upwards engaging it into the coil, put it all back together again, pressed start and it fires straight up everytime, there is a downside to doing it this way though, it never switches off, not even when you open the door, only way to switch on and off is to either switch off at the plug or turn the dial to zero.

Yes; just fixed it. It was the door switch.
The door switch contains a contact (no surprise) a resistor and a solenoid; there are 3 terminals on the unit but whether the door was open or not there was no contunuity between the 2 connected to the contact. When the door switch/lock block was unclipped exposing the components the contacts were pressed together and rubbed side to side to wipe them clean, the solenoid and other mechanisms were operated manually to make sure they were not jammed; all the dust and fluff/lint was blown out and then it was clipped back together (be careful with the solenoid locking pin). Continuity re-checked, re-fitted and tested; it worked instantly, first time, no buzz.

I have the same fault on an IDV75(UK).

When the same problem ocurred years ago on another dryer (can't remember the make/model) I traced the fault to a failed capacitor on the circuit board that fed/smoothed the power to the relay operating coil.

When it works the capacitor feeds more power to the coil and smoothes the supply so it swiches and doesn't buzz.

From what I can remember the relay coil is low voltage d.c. and 230/240v.a.c is half rectified to d.c. and the voltage reduced by a few cheap components instead of a conventional transformer-rectifier-smoothing capacitor or switch-mode power supply.
