Mend AEG ADP8234 Programme Button Work

adp8234 display shows e5?

Well thats what it looks like and it seems to stop after pumping out sometimes by pressing the programme button you can get it to work and when it does its not brilliant. I hae done the drip tray bit but this was dry but i did discover a capacitor taped to the wiring loom that had melted but none seems to be able to identify it for me so i can replace it there only seems to be two listed on net one is a mains filter the other just a capacitor but neither match mine physically

any ideas or help welcome
