How can I get my Diplomat dishwasher to work?

My dishwasher is about 1 years old and I have no manual as it was thrown out by the fitter! I don't know the model but it is an integrated front with the controls at the top of the door when you open it. When I put any of the programmes on after a few minutes it starts constant beeping, a light comes on next to the rinse icon and in the timer window the letters FA or FK appear. I can cancel all this by holding down the standby button and it clears but the same thing happens when I start another programme. Initially when I start the programme it sounds as if it's working, I can hear the motor but there is no sound of any water in the machine, no-one has touched it since it last worked.
