Why won't this thing start?

Craftsman lawn mower model 917.377061 Ready Start...., will not start..I have taken gas hose off [not plugged] replaced spark plug, replaced filter...It is not getting any gas to carb...No gas coming out of little jet behind flapper dealie!!!!!
