The fixes I posted for you
FIRST OF ALL SWITCH THE BOILER OFF AT THE POWER POINT.
Here is the follow up to the micro switch repair. Why pay £11.50 for one from plumb centre when all you need is Maplin sub micro switch N95AQ at £1.99 it has three contacts whereas the original has two use the two contacts below the activater button they are on/off the other is just a continuity contact and can be ignored- use multimeter to check for on/off function if not sure then either solder the new micro switch in or solder two wires to it then cut the old ones off remove the broken micro switch and rejoin the wires this will save you having to mess about with the control box.
In case you forgot which way round the switch went --the activator button is at the top facing the rocker arm--drop the rocker in it has two legs and a flat face . The flat face is where the diverter valve pushes on it and the leg there are two only one will activate the micro switch--it pivots in a slot. The lid of the switch box has a plat piece that goes down onto the top of the pivot and secures it in place when snapped down onto its three lugs.
£1.99 and 15 mins work and your fixed.

if boiler has overheated reset the overheat sensors located on the left hand side pipework little red switches on a sensor attached to the pipe.
handy to know:-
if the jaguar decides to stop providing hot water its the diaphram in the diverter valve visible at bottom left hand side of the case at rear. the diverter valve and diaphragn are separate units dont be fobed off by "you need a new diverter valve as the diaphragms are available on ebay. Ask at plumbers merchants and be pushy as they would sooner sell you a £100 diverter valve.
What ever you do dont remove the little clips retaining the small pipes into the diaphram unit unless you have an understanding wife or an empty airing cupboard
its under mains pressure and you will get a blast of water straight past you. I know i did it!!.
Also while on the subject of diverter valves, another jaguar jem and an easy fix. Jaguars have a habit of going wrong so share my experiences

Ok here is a lesson for anybody assuming the pcb has died. This is just what I did and nearly spent £125 on a new one. In my case the boiler suddenly came on to central heating after a power cut. There was no way to turn it off other than to switch it off at the plug. It was assumed the power cut spiked the pcb as the control panel had no effect whatsoever on the boiler.
The culprid was the micro switch located within the box attached to the end of the diverted valve. this had a black and white wire leading to the pcb.
Remove the switch by pulling the metal retaining clip out then remove the entire switch and the cable from the pcb box.
Gently prise open the case there are three little lugs on each side. Inside you will find a small micro switch and a rocker make sure you dont loose the rocker and take a note of how it sits.
If you have a multi meter connect up the ends of the black and white wire for continuation. If the meter gives a reading its the contacts of the switch that have stuck together. A gentle tap with a hard object may be enough to dislodge the contacts if this works a spray of wd40 or contact cleaner will sort it out.
Micro switches are two a penny so if its shot you can buy one and replace it . Put it all back together and you should be cooking on gas. I nearly signed a contract for a replacement boiler costing £2k so this fix may save you megga bucks
Hope this helped
