Miele G681 dishwasher intake/drain light flashing?

Hi everyone, I've read all posts about similar problems I could find both on this forum and others but I'm afraid I still can't figure my problem out.

The intake/drain light starts blinking mid way into the dishwashing process. The dish washer fills up, rinses, drains, water is hot, everything seems to function just fine.

Some time after the tablet drops from its door mounted container, and the time estimate reaches 46 minutes remaining out of around 139 minutes at the beginning, time stands still and does not change from 46 minutes. A good 10 minutes after that, the intake/drain light would start blinking.

One cycle out of 5 or so would finish flawlessly, though a flawless cycle is becoming more rare it seems.

Can anyone suggest what I can look at? I couldn't find a service manual for any model of Miele dishwasher at all, I checked all (I think) the usual suspects as discussed throughout the different posts I found.

If anyone has any hints I'd definitely love to hear them, service manual for any model might help me as I assume they are all very similar machines.
