Mend Hotpoint WF865 Drum Turn Move

Hotpoint WF865 Ultima - Drum wont turn?

Drum is very hard to move round like usual manually like it is stiff. Middle of cycle started making funny noise like clunking sound. What could this be? The other thing is when i removed washing i was missing one sock does this have anything to do with it?
