Mend Renault Megane 05 Problems Start Cuts

megane 05 starting problems?

hi there i have a megane 05 conv when i start the engine it makes a rattling noise and cuts out after about the third attempt it seems ok.The car itself runs well but this is starting to get very annoying can anyone help.the mileage on the car is 61000 and has been fully serviced.thanks paul

hi have you resolved this yet? I have the same problem with my 2003 petrol megane 1600 dinamique. Did read something on this site about a de phaser unit possibly being the cause but not confirmed that. Would appreciate your response. Thanks and good luck
