how can i fix my kenmore 80 seris washer # 110.27822790?

my washer will not stop filling up and rinse, it keeps filling and overflows. it will not do this unplugged or in the off position

.Hello,

It sounds like you have a bad water level switch or a crack in the vacuum tube that runs from the switch. The water level switch is responible for turning the water off and switching the washer to agitate. You can test this witha meter also check the tube.
