1 switch on 1 scokett and other 1 tripps out?

hi i have a double wall sockett 1 has a extension on and other has just 1 plug in to it. recently when i switch theem on and off it has been trippin the other 1 out for e.g i have my pc running and swicth on my xbox and it tripps my pc out. thanks

what exactly is "tripping"?
if it's just whatever is plugged into the other socket then I'd suggest checking the connections on the back of the socket as it sounds like a loose connection..
remember to turn the power off first..
