Why do my Advent 7109 battery sucks?

First of all, check with someone who fixes computers how long the charge is supposed to last for that model (30 minutes seems way too short, though).

Try cutting your usage (turning off wireless receiver, reducing brightness of display a little, etc.).

And, get a spare battery, usually readily available on the internet or from any computer shop. This is handy anyway.
