Laptops are a pain when not working. you firstly need to confirm that the power supply is working. normally 18 to 20 volt DC (METER NEEDED). Secondly plug PSU into the laptop, do any lights come on ie "charging" if not gently hold the jack plug into the laptop very slowly move it around, if the charging led lights you have a broken power socket on the laptop, this requires a full stripdown to re-solder it called (DRY JOINT) Professional repairs expensive £80 - £100
