How can I fix my electric recliner?

Hi,
I have an Ashley power recliner and it stopped while I was lowering it. The transformer is working (we tested it) but nothing seems to work on the recliner.

The cord to the control is severed, probably becuz it got caught in the mechanism. Can a new cord/control be installed?

Hi same problem as always. it is the micro switch in the ram attached to the motor. there is 2 switch one for opening and one for closing. one or the other is gone. If you are not handy, take the ram off the chair and bring it to an electrical repairer. it should not cost very much.

Hi Mine is doing the same thing. I think your problem is in the ram. It has 2 small micro switches. Either one or the other is gone. You can take the ram off and open it. You will see the switches. You can find replacement switches in a auto shop or electric gate shop.... It only cost a few pounds. Works with mine.

Hi can you help me please, i have this electric armchair, the footrest doesn't want to open on right side of the chair, but the electric sends power to left side, so the left side try's to open but can't cos right side dont send any power to open, so can you tell me where is the problem, could it be the swich where we on and off the recliner, or in the motor, what shall i do
