how do i fix my optima xl alarm?

hi Margret do you know if you have an electrical fault on the fuse board in the house ie a fuse has blown causing the alarm to rely on the back up battery that sounds like the problem,
and the back up battery is not charged up so you will need a new one, you should have a power light on the front of the panel if not you will have to get a compitant person to put a test on the mains electricity going into the alarm panel, their is a fuse inside of the control panel above the transformer, but be carefull around the mains electricity it can kill

open the main panel and check the fuses this happens on the omnicrons a fuse went and i put my ear to the panel and you could just about hear it you dont have to power down just check the 3 fuses they should be on the right hand side if there blown then replace them
