Zanussi Aquacycle wont empty?

My Zanussi Aquacycle wont empty, water stays in drum had to empty by hand, found bra wire in bottom drain, but pump will not work, but still spins.

if drain pump impeller spins then it should work unless
1) there is a blockage from the tub to the filter housing
2) there is a blockage in the waste hose
3) the impeller has become detached but still looks to rotate off load

Put the drain hose in to a bucket and see if it drains in to that
