Mend Hotpoint WM51 Flooding Washing Machine Spin

spinning but not emptying and flooding from underneath?

My washing machine is a Hotpoint First Edition WM51. It will spin but not empty and floods from underneath. I have checked the hosepipe and the water just trickles out of it but floods from underneath at the left hand side.
