no spark at plug?

Hi depending on what mower it is you could have a fault with the cut of switch or the coil has gone up the creak the way to check is to disconnect the lead from the cut of switch to the coil this is just a earth cut out as long as the lead is not touching the mower you should have a spark if not then it’s the coil also if the mower is very old they used to have points these are located in the fly wheel and like a old car these brake down hope this helps if you need any more help or parts please do not hesitate to contact me quince manger of swale lawnmower and landscaping services
