Peugeot vivacity sport 50 help please :)?

Hi, I own a Peugeot vivacity silversport 50cc.
I havent rode the bike for just over a month now due to the weather. I have just gone out to start it on the electric start, and it doesn't start and then it reset's my clock (electronic clock), so i have to kick start it. I left it running for 10 minutes to see if that would help and it didnt!!
I got told it might be the "back up battery????" can someone please help.
