zone 8 fault?

it shouldent but if you think the battery needs to be replaaced then it should unless it works

zone 8 will be on the panel z8 you need to check if thats got i wire looping

if it has tighten it or if its got a wire coming out of the panel as i have said before there's a fault with the sensor if it has a wire looping you need to check if its not loose well it shouldent be

hi guys i took the front panel off and found that the battery was swollen do you think this could be the problem on zone 8 as switched the mains off and the panel didnt light up

ahh ok ron open the main panel and look for z8 or zone 8 and this zone is probably looped but it could of come loose all you need to do is tighten it but make sure it is a looped zone if to wires go out of the panel then its a fault with the sensor if not then tighten the loop

ive only got 3 sensors front+back door+one in living room tried to omit zone 8 but keyboard wont let me any idears how to find out what zoe 8 is

In short and simple terms Martin you have a 'stuck' contact on your front door.

Give it a gentle tap, it'll more than likely start to work again, if it does or not it needs replacing.

The information you have given is very concise, thank you, to an alarm engineer correct information is half the battle of fault finding

The control panel type has no bearing on the fault you have described

this means the device monitoring zone 8 is not operating. eg.zone1,front door. zone2,back door etc etc you will have to find out what 8 is and check the device.
