Mend Washing Machine Turned Wash Spin

how can I fix my washing machine?

I turned my washing machine on and as it started I heard a thud.It started to wash as normal but when it got to the rinse and spin cycle it stopped and all the lights came on.I tried it again and when it gets to the rinse and spin cycle it stops and the waterdoesnt go away.
