Mend Volkswagen Golf Drivers Door 2002

Drivers door handle on 2002 VW Golf?

The drivers side door handle is not reloacting properly and is now sticking up from its normal return position after use. This happened after I tried to get access to the car when it was frozen up and I pulled the door handle to hard. Does anyone know if this is an easy fix and are there any parts required?.
