Mend Kenmore 110.90 Washing Machine Agitator Repair

Remove Agitator on Kenmore 90 Series Model 110?

While on wash cycle the agitator often rises up and quits working. we have to remove the cap and depress the clips to place the agitator back down. How do I remove this completly and fix it? Thanks in advance

Jerry, depending on what kind of agitator ( secured by a single bolt or a plastic cup with a spring on the outer housing) you have, you can use an rachet with extension for bolt type or a pair of long needle nose pliers to tighten or untighten the plastic type and the agitator should come straight out. good luck!!!
