Mend Electrolux Washing Programme Door

Why wont the programes run on my electrolux washing machine?

i choose the programme, push start, the door locks and the light flashes. 10 sec later the door unlocks and the light flashes like the programe has finished.
I have checked filter. turned it off and left it for the day and then come back nad turned it on. Nothing. Please help. regards

check the filter and once filter has been removed check inside filter housing incase anything is jammed in the drain pump impellor
