power light on , nothing happening?

hotpoint wf541 washing maching, power light on set programme but nothing happening no wash no spin, but door lock is on and cant get washing out

sounds as if no water going in, Check your inlet hose connection filter, If water to inlet hose, suspect inlet valve fault, but will need meter to check it. Could stick a hose pipe into soap unit, fill m/c that way, would prove fault.
