Whirlpool fridge / freezer ice and water dispenser not working?

Hi, I have a Whirlpool fridge freezer with ice and water dispenser. I had a fault back in September where the freezer stopped working. A local technician replaced the backboard. However, the ice and water have stopped working and the fridge does not set below the 5 degree default setting. The technician eventually came back and replaced the front board but this has not rectified the problem. There is a new filter fitted and at times I am able to draw a half glass of water. The front display panel shows a flashing telephone. Any help will be appreciated. Paul 1/12/2009

i have a whirlpool american fridge freezer and the ice has stopped making.it shows ok on the front screen.is it possible for the pipes to freeze

Hi Paul, A/ if the temp on the front does not change and stay there, it means the front module is not tallking to the back module!
This will give you water problems etc ... and your telephone symbol.
Does the freezer show 'CF'
This is confirmation of the above fault.
Hope you still have the old boards, maybe the wrong modules were fitted??
There's a guy on ebay who fixes them.
