Warm the engine then tip the mower on its side and drain from the filling hole. (Manual p9.)

Th V40 4 stroke overhead valve engine doesn't have a drain plug, so it is drained by pouring the oil back out of the filler. Because its plastic, care is needed not to damage the filler tube but the job can be accomplished quite easily.

Victa V40 doesn't have a drain plug for the oil. Fill and empty the oil using the same hole. Empty the oil by tilting the mower to the side, then fill it up again using 600ml of SAE30 oil. Victa V40 is a 4 stroke engine using unleaded petrol with no additives.

drain it via the filler, tilt the mower towards the fill pipe/dipstick

Call me daft - but most victa mowers I've seen are 2-stroke.

The 4-stroke ones I have seen have Briggs & Stratton engines, and the drain plug on them is obvious - either a 7/8 hex plug, or a 3/8 FEMALE square plug - on the bottom of the engine.
