Mend Mountfield 484 TR Years Engine Power

mountfield 484 TR ?

I have had this mower for about 3 years now, this year the engine seemed to hunt and then loose power finaly stall. Just had it serviced by a friend , cleaned air filter and new plug, oil change sharpen blade etc.. but still hunting...
The primer squeeze button, does not reset as it used to , perhaps an air leak some where? ..might this be related? any ideas?

If you friend new anything about this type of lawnmower engine, then he/she would know the problem is with the carburettor diaphragm. It's a reasonably simple job to replace for a mechanic and the diaphragm kit costs less than a couple of quid.
