Mend Whirlpool Washing Machine Loud

WASHING MACHINE, ONLY MAKES LOUD HUMMING NOISE , BLOWS HOUSE FUSES?

I HAVE WHIRLPOOL TOP LOADING MACHINE, SUDDENLY IT STOPPED AGITATING, AND THE MOTOR ONLY MAKES A LOUD HUMMING NOISE. ALSO BLOWS OUT FUSES. IS THE MOTOR SHOT?

I have the same machine and after filling with water it started humming. Thats it! I have been told that it is either an article of clothing stuck or a timing switch. Im still looking into it myself but i will let you know when i find out for sure. Hang in there.
