We all know appliance persons. What we don't know is where you live. What country are you in? Also, what make & model is your machine. Some are easy to replace bearings, some are difficult & some you are not able to replace bearings on.

What kind of noise? If its a grinding screaming loud rumble, it could be the drum bearing has gone. On most machines it's probably not worth replacing the bearings. Its often a pig of a job and only really a stopgap.
