i have had a problem with my left indicator coming on by itself while driving, but now the problem is worse, while on the motoway I signalled left and the car went dead. I couldn't start the car and all the electrics have died, when I turn the ignition all i heard was the indicator relay constantly flashing, then smoke came out of the dash above the cluster panel. Could this be the bsi unit and could I get another from the scrapyard?
its above the right hand foot well, small black panal

i am having a similar problem with my 206, the right indicator light stays on whenever the key is in the ignition..i called a specialist about this and they said it might be a "BSI" im taking it to them tomorrow to have it looked at-fingers crossed it doen't cost a fortune as im already selling it cheap. if you have sorted your car let me know how? thanks. p.s il do the same.

Thank you Peccavi for the website link...It sounds like a joke to me too, but I did try it with a little help as my windows are non operational, and ta da....it did nothing!! oh well...I'll keep trying for an answer.
The reset procedure looks like a joke to me - and I've never heard of a Body Control Unit before and have no idea what BSI stands for - life is just too complicated.
