Mend Sanivite 3 Pumps Not Full

My Sanivite 3 pumps when the chamber is not full.??????

MY sanivite 3 pumps although the chamber is not full, from other threads i have noticed that this might be because the non return valve is faulty.
does anyone now or can direct me to a step by step guide on how to change this?
