unit smells?

I had lingering incurable stink with BOSCH dishwasher. After some months of bleach flushing, hot cycles etc. I lifted out the catcher cage, which lives on floor of chamber under a rectangular metal plate. There is a nylon fabric mesh filter which can be treated with hot water in a saucepan, and can be gently scrubbed. HOWEVER, the cage filter assembly when gently prised apart, had all sorts of very nasty gummy fungus blobs growing on its hidden parts. These could never be washed off, and had to be scraped off with an old toothbrush.
The self renewing bacterial focus is now gone away, at least until next stinky time.

Hi Tony,
It the machine has been cleaned internally and you have physically seen its clean inside the the smell is coming fron the sink / dishwasher traps and or sink overflow along with the dishwasher discharge pipe clean and flush them out with houshold bleach, remove them if necessary to sanitize them,
then as a part of the cleaning routine flush the sink with bleach on a regular basis and it will keep the machine and pipe work clean.

You dont need any descaling liquid just a good houshold bleach that can remove lime scale try it it will work.
