how can i fix my remote central locking? ford mondeo zetec 2000?

I have changed the battery on my remote key fob but it does still not work. Do I have to reset the central locking system? If so how can I do this?

try this, insert ign key and turn from posII to pos0 and back 4 times within 3 secs. Remove key and within next 20 secs press a button on key. the warning system LED will flash to confirm programming. this worked on my 98 mondeo, so should work on yours...
