Mend Ford Mondeo Central Locking Fob Key

Ford mondeo central locking?

Hi I acquired a 97 Mondeo recently and found out the batteries were flat in the fob key,
I have now renewed the batteries but the central locking system does not work, only locks/unlocks with the key, any suggestions please

take fuse out and leave for 30 mins then put back in and reprogramme (turn ignition to position 2 four times in 6 secs led in clock lit turn off and press any button and hold it till led flashes hold couple secs after and then release turn ignition back on to exit progamming then should work)
