Mend Ford Focus 1.8 (1999) Change Car

Bypass 1999 1.8 ford focus immobiliser?

I had to change the barrel in the car and the key is now different, the car will not start as the key isnt the right one for the immobiliser! is there any way to bypass it

If you remove the red plastic bit from your original key and tape it inside the steering column shroud next to the ignition barrel the sensing coil should recognise the original immobiliser codeand allow the engine to start
