Mend Yamaha 1200 XLT Start Hard Throttle

2004 1200 xlt Yamaha waverunner only idles?

will start hard, idles ok, will not throttle up and sounds like it is starving for fuel. new filter, fresh gas...same old story. Is there a fuel pump for each carb? only one? could diaphragm be leaking if there is one?

No only one pump. but is it direct injection or not . could be an injector.

I can tell you that the fuel pump on a 2002 1000A waverunner is in the fuel tank. It slides down into the tank from the top. It may have a screen on the pump that could be dirty but I dont know. My guess is the pump is bad.
