piaggio typhoon 125 mixture screw?

I find to start the scooter i have to have the throttle wide open for qiate a time before it starts i have the mixture screw turned out 1+1/4 turns if i turn it out more do you think it might start easier once it has started it's ok but try to start a couple hours later and it's hard to start again if i take the plug out it is wet i then put another plug in and it will start.
