Mend Massey Ferguson 1968 Ii Problem Start

Any ideas what iI can check?

I have a Massey Ferguson Tractor 1968. The problem I have is the ignition will not start the tractor. I have recently put on a new starter a the solenoid was bad. The ignition switch will not turn the motor. There is a fuse off the alternator that keeps blowing. Any ideas what I can check?

Have you put high-low gear lever out of gear...? and you check that the starter isolation switch is working...?
