Rule of nine equivilant for 3 cylinder engine?

I don't know!!
However, if you open a valve fully, note the position
of the crank pulley - chalk mark or similar - then rotate
one complete turn ( half a turn of the camshaft) which puts the follower on the back of the cam and then adjust this should give the same result. Repeat for each valve.
