How to repair display panel on Maytag Legacy 300 Dishwasher?

My display screen seems to be malfunctioning. When the dishwasher finishes, the panel shows "clean" & "sanitized", but, there are what seems to be a code in the display window. The display window is normally blank at the end of the cycle.
Called Maytag, they were not able to provide any input on what problem is.
I have now started noticing that the display window digits are only partially lit up when unit is running. Only a portial of the actual # is being displayed.
The dishwasher appears to be cleaning okay, it is just the display that seems to be messed up.
