how do i find out wot the problem is fiat punto 55 s 1995 1.1 litre engine ?

how do i find out wot the problem is fiat punto 55 s 1995 1.1 litre engine warning light keeps coming on saying egines overheating but keep topping radiator up and it just dissappears in minuets brand new radiator no leaks but might be little leak near the water pump i think not to sure help please

Sounds like a head gasket.
Fill the car with water, start the engine then look at the exhaust smoke if steamy or water pissing out, gasket gone.
