Mend Hotpoint DWF 61 Dishwasher Turned Water

air lock in Hotpoint Ultima DWF 61?

Hi, dishwasher is turned on, the water enters the dishwasher but when it tries to start cycle, it makes an air lock sound and takes ages to run. After a while it goes until the rinse when it happens again. I have disconnected the cold feed pipe but this didn't clear the problem. Any ideas Guys? Cheers.
